Practice Areas
Copyright & Trademark
My legal career has centered on protecting creative work and brand identity. I spent over a decade at Harmon, Seidman & Bruss, LLC, a national copyright litigation boutique, litigating and winning cases against some of the biggest publishers in the world, and copyright remains the core of my practice today. I also handle full service trademark work, including clearance searches, registration and prosecution before the USPTO, licensing, and enforcement, along with trade secret protection where it overlaps with your brand.
Business & Contracts
Need legal advice for your company but not ready to hire in house counsel? I offer outside general counsel services, from crafting employee policies to negotiating vendor agreements to advising on how best to protect your brand. I also draft custom contracts for every stage of your business.
Employment Law
I provide advice and counsel on all aspects of the employment relationship, from the first hire through separation. My work includes drafting and updating employee handbooks, advising on workplace policies and wage and hour compliance, conducting internal investigations, and guiding employers through discipline and termination decisions before they become disputes. Bruss Legal represents both employees and employers, which gives me a practical view of how these issues look from either side of the table.
Dispute Resolution
I've spent the last two decades advocating for my clients through informal negotiations, arbitration, mediation, and state and federal litigation. My background litigating high stakes copyright cases against major publishers has shaped how I approach every dispute, with a focus on resolving conflict as efficiently and quickly as possible rather than letting it drag on. Unresolved conflict has a way of permeating every other part of your business, so whether the right path is a firm negotiating position or a courtroom, I work to get you back to focusing on your brand's future.
